My newly made fiance & I treated ourselves to milkshakes! He had oreo & I had chocolate. We enjoyed every second of it!

Proposal in the woods!

I'm so excited to write this blog! :)

Donovan and I started dating when we were 15, that's almost 7 years ago! We had drivers training together & could not fight our love! It was a very strange feeling to love someone that strongly at such a young age. We've had some amazing times together! And of course, some not so great times. We've traveled all over the world together! Moved all the way to Montana! We're literally COMPLETE opposites. I'm a vegetarian, Donovan is a hunter. I'm a creative liberal, he's a conservative brainiac! I'm extremely outgoing, he's very introverted. I think you get the picture! I love being different than each other, we have a great balance & it makes everyday exciting! We love skiing & hiking together, so I knew the engagement would take place doing one or the other. The day before the engagement he went to a very beautiful spot near Rock Creek and carved "Sam, marry me" into the tree! We went for a hike, it was the perfect Montana day! He took me to the tree & got on one knee! The rest is history! :)

Coachella fashion 2011

I wasn't able to make it to the festival but I was able to watch a few of my favorites perform live via Youtube! I always stalk music festival fashion after every show and by far Coachella is the greatest for providing amazing looks. I love boots with shorts for Spring, oversized cropped tops, floral prints(always), denim, stripes, hats, the list goes on.. Oh and who didn't love Kayne's shirt? The perfect unisex piece!

Water For Elephants

This looks like it's going to be a beautiful film! I've been very inspired by "vintage carnival/circus" lately. I love Resse Witherspoon's shoot for Vogue, how beautiful! I'm looking forward to April 22nd!

Baking with buttons!

Of course not ACTUAL buttons, silly! :) Fondant buttons! I'm obsessed! Donna Hay sells the most adorable package of fondant buttons i've ever seen. She only ships within Australia so I wont be able to buy them. I'm going to attempt to make them for Cassie's bridal shower. Wish me luck!

Invitations!

I'm throwing my good friend Cassie a bridal shower in my garden in May! It's a English garden/high tea theme. I'm getting very excited! I just finished the invitations, they are handmade using three different shades of card stock(robins egg blue, teal, & ivory) and my button collection! I'm very happy with the results! :)

Bicycles!

Sooooo... my birthday is April 30th & i've decided I want a bicycle! We live in a super bike friendly city. I've always wanted a robin egg blue vintage cruiser but I don't think it's very practical to have a vintage bike unless you're not riding it very often. I found a few contenders!
