Bridgett & Patrick's Summer Wedding

I'm so excited to share my friend's lovely yellow & grey wedding! I knew from the moment when I saw their engagement photos that the wedding was going to be spectacular! Bridgett & Patrick are both very creative & you can see that in the details of their photos. I can't get enough of the fun & whimsical balloon shots! Isn't that bridal party amazing?

"We were definitely inspired to have a modern/vintage wedding. We just wanted something different and fun, but something that still had an elegant feel to it."

Check out their amazing photographer, Ashley Letourneau

"Our Florist, Joan was amazing because she had such a different outlook on flowers and was absolutely thrilled that I didn't just want white, red or pink roses. She does amazing with color!"

"PS. GREAT flower choice for vintage inspired weddings.. billy balls..the things that were in our guys boutonnieres."

Wasn't her dress & veil gorgeous?

"The most difficult part for me was probably deciding on a wedding dress. I love fashion and i loved so many different styles that it was hard to make a decision and not want to buy a new dress every time I went through a wedding magazine. I finally ended up with a dress designed by Demetrios and it was perfect! My veil was something that wasn't that difficult for me to decide on.. I always knew I wanted a birdcage veil."

"The ceremony was held at our home church, which isn't the most beautiful place in the world, but it is very meaningful for our relationship and we wanted to remind ourselves to keep God at the center. We did the best with the space and I thought it turned out nice and elegant. Our reception was at the Flat Rock Community Center and we made a lot of our decor. We designed our own programs, and favor cards [we donated to an organization in guatemala instead of a traditional favor], and just had them printed professionally."

Music was a really important part of this wedding. Bridgett & Patrick had their friends, Clark Cothern and Luke Paul, DJ the event. The best part was when they played and sang the first dance song, Yellow by Coldplay. Clark also played guitar for Bridgett when she surprised Pat and sang for him.

"I really loved every moment of my wedding day, from getting ready, to taking pictures, to dancing the night away with friends and family and leaving and going home with my husband for the first time:]. Everything really turned out perfect and just the way I wanted."

Table top decor: Tie hemp around tea light candles & glue buttons from your collection to dress up a plain candle!
Create table numbers by folding old book pages in half, then cutting out numbers on gray paper, topping them off with another random button in the corner.

Seating chart: Start with a bulletin board, distress the edges with steel wool and a nail. Then cover with a piece of sac cloth and then add all of the details! (buttons, last names, numbers, exc)

Wishing tree guest book: Gather tree branches or purchase them at a local craft store, cover in clear coat. Create tags using recycled paper & hemp. Have your guest write well wishes & attach to a branch.
